cardiac axis

The average direction of spread of the depolariation wave through the ventricle as seen from the frontal plane

determine by the lead I,II,II->look at the QRS wave

right axis deviation
I-negative
II,III-positive

left axis deviation
I-positive
II,III-negative


u can also determine the cardiac axis by looking at the lead I and aVF.if patient is having left axis deviation,then check lead II.
